Godrej Interio partners with Linet for healthcare biz
Godrej Interio announced a partnership with Netherlands’ hospital and nursing home beds manufacturer Linet Group, to market and distribute Linet range of hospital beds and allied furniture in the Indian Continent. Through this agreement the organisations will jointly develop healthcare products for the Indian market.
Linet products will be available from April 2012. Initially, they will be available in all metros and later on all over the country.
Speaking on the association Anil Mathur, COO, Godrej Interio commented, “We, at Godrej Interio believe in creating the right environment of care, comfort and commitment to health. Our alliance with Linet Group heralds the beginning of a new era in the evolution of health and wellness furniture in India. By bringing Linet’s world class manufacturing and technology to India, we aim to provide superior solutions for medical and nursing care. According to Mathur, Godrej is aiming to capture 25 per cent market share of the organised furniture segment in the next three years.
Godrej is currently offering a range of healthcare furniture covering, besides other peripheral hospital furniture, all categories of bed including manual ICU and ICCU beds.
Recently it has launched motorised ICCU bed. Both companies also plan to lead common research and development activities orientated towards Indian market.

Our goal is to develop specialised, obstacle-free healthcare environments specifically adapted to meet local needs while providing outstanding marketing, sales and distribution services for Linet products.”
In the last two years, Godrej has tied up with other three international marketing firms. They are Korea’s Sejin for marine accommodation solutions, Japan’s Itoki and US’ Knoll Inc for office furniture.
