1976 Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals (NFCL), the Nagarjuna Group’s flagship company is incorporated. Originally promoted by the Shaw Wallace group
1992 The company undertakes a public-cum-rights issue to part-finance the urea and ammonia project in Kakinada, AP
1995 Sri Ganesh Anand Petrochemicals merges with NFCL
1996 The company promotes Nagarjuna Agricultural Research and Development Institute, a research and development organization, to undertake application and adaptive research in crop production, improvement and protection
1999 Nagarjuna Oil Corporation (formerly Pennar Refineries Ltd) which had set up a 6 MTPA refinery project becomes a wholly owned subsidiary
2005 The company builds an extruded irrigation system and parts unit with 1,140 tonnes pa installed capacity
